This video features some of the brilliant 7th & 8th graders that we’ve worked with and have taught us so much through the years.  When my sister Brooklyn and I first started OGMC we had no idea how much the program would benefit so many…especially us.  I am so grateful to the children that have shown up day after day- committed to being a Rose that Grows in Concrete- as the late great Tupac Shakur called them.

This particular group of kids from Compton, CA were really funny and super smart and talented.  In our after-school program, the kids also wrote and recorded a song and then we shot a music video as well.

I am so grateful for all of these great memories : )
